Walter Willeys Shop. Park Road, Elland
Walters shop in Park Road Elland. Now part of the car park of the Barge & Barrel Pub.
As a child my grandmother, Constance Nelson used to visit her cousin Gaye (Gladys Willey) at the shop, doing their utmost to secure a bag of sweets from Walter no doubt!
Walter bought an old tram car which placed alongside the shop was used to serve teas and snacks.
